Cressi Technica Camouflaged Wetsuit- Is it worth it?

Cressi Technica Camouflaged Wetsuit

It’s surprising how a lot of people do not pay attention to the kind of wetsuit they choose for their spearfishing adventures. In fact most people think that choosing the right wetsuit is a no brainer, and that they can pick up any wetsuit that fits their body and go along with it.

Nothing could be farther from the truth however as the right wetsuit will not only keep you warm in cold water but it will also help you move with ease and protect you against the elements of the sea. Today we are going to take a look at the Cressi Technica camouflaged wetsuit and see what makes this particular wetsuit so special.

Basic features of the Cressi Technica camouflaged wetsuit

This particular wetsuit is a two piece suit, which means that top and the bottom can be put on separately. As the name suggests the suit comes in a camouflage design which allows you to remain partially hidden underwater and not attract any unneeded attention from the fish.

The camouflage coloring is made up of different shades of grey, which in certain underwater conditions can make you seem practically invisible. The inner part of the suit is lined up with black metalite, which can endure a whole lot of wear and tear. It also makes it pretty easy to get in and out of the suit.

Other features of this wetsuit

The suit also comprises of a hoodie that protects your head and all the seams holding it together are glued and blindstitched for extra strength and durability.

Reinforcing Knees Reinforcing elbows

The suit is made from single lined ultra span neoprene that is highly elastic and comprises of 91% nylon and 9% spandex.
The most useful additions to this wetsuit are the extra reinforcements on the knee, elbow and the chest areas. Most important of these is the chest gun loading pad that allows you to easily load your spear gun.

This is especially needed for powerful spearguns that have additional bands installed to provide extra strength. So in case you do not want to load from the hip you can always use the chest loading pad to load your speargun. There is also a groin closure with the dovetail lanyard that again provide some extra protection in that area.

Feel of the wetsuit

The texture of the wetsuit is very soft both inside and outside and is unlikely to cause any irritation to the skin unless you end up wearing it for an abnormally long time. The black metalite makes it very easy to get in to the suit and the wetsuit does a very good job of keeping the cold out. In general, this cressi wetsuit is very stretchy and comfortable to wear.
Before you buy the suit please make sure that you buy the right size for yourself. It is important to remember that the right wetsuit should not hug you very tightly but fit snugly and leave you feeling comfortable. If you buy a suit that is too tight then you will not only be uncomfortable but have difficulty breathing easily.
